Meadowlark Music Festival has presented critically-acclaimed, world-class chamber artists in Lincoln and surrounding communities since 2001. In recent seasons audiences heard the sublime sounds of acoustic guitar and double bass with Tim Berens and Frank Proto. Tim is virtuoso jazz and classical guitarist who also is the principal arranger for the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Frank was the Cincinnati Symphony's Composer-In-Residence and a member of their bass section for over 30 years. French pianist Marina Pacowski returned to Meadowlark to perform the world premiere of Frank Proto's Concerto for Piano and Strings and International Artist Guild Award winners, Sybarite5 String Quintet performed a stunning array of works, from Armenian Folksongs to Jimi Hendrix. Former MET mezzo-soprano Kitt Reuter Foss dazzled an intimate crowd among the trees and under the stars at the 145 acre Prairie Pines Reserve. Multiple GRAMMY-award winning harmonica genius Howard Levy performed a brilliant set of Brazilian tunes on the rooftop of the Rodizio Brazilian Grill in Lincoln's Haymarket District. You can always be assured to hear a fascinating musical evening with Meadowlark!
